Expand the properties in the Windows File menu

Managing files in Windows isn't always simple and you're often left wondering why Microsoft has restricted the amount of things you can do with files. Thankfully, it is possible to access extra functions for changing and managing files, but you're going to need a third party application to do so. PropertyEditor is just such an application and lets you configure several more options.

First off, the program displays the path to the file and also its size. Then you can add new functions to the menu, indicating that the PropertyEditor is responsible fo a particular task. Another useful option is to assign a drive letter to a folder or device. Through a series of tabs you can tweak typical NTFS options such as the allocation of icons to files, manipulate the creation dates, and inidicate the state of the file (i.e. hidden, indexed, reading, temporary, etc.) In some cases you do need to be careful when changing file data as they is no way of reverting back to a file's original state.

If used correctly though, PropertyEditor opens up a world of new options for making your files easier to handle.

PropertyEditor is a system enhancement tool that lets you configure a great handful of properties for the selected file, folder and hard disk drive - all quickly and refreshingly easy. With PropertyEditor in place, you can configure the context menu for the selected files, folders, and drives, change icons for the selected files and folders, create a report about the content of any selected drive or folder (the size of all subfolders and files is included).

In addition to this, you can use it to configure many NTFS parameters, including Streams, Junctions, Hard Links and Mount Points. And you can learn who has access to encrypted files. PropertyEditor seamlessly integrates into the Windows shell and works transparently throughout Operating System.

Thanks to the low memory footprint, the program doesn't cut down on the system productivity and work of other applications. PropertyEditor can be accessed from the context menu of the selected file, folder or hard disk drive
